Awakening Heart

How to Live a Spiritual Life

Within the modern technological age

1 OF 9

What is life about, and how to realise who we are!

Life is to understand who we are, why we are here, and to know thy self, as in that you are far far greater then the individual human self, the personality etc, and to fully realise your higher self as in your divine nature in this lifetime.

You have not come here to fulfil a specific task as such, but the main reason is to know your ultimate self, not the body ego self but the light of God that dwells within you, your soul. We are like waves on an ocean, each wave expresses itself within infinite possibilities, and when that energy of the wave eventually dies it merges back into the greater infinite ocean! Never are we separated from the infinite ocean of cosmic consciousness!

We need to fully realise that nothing is random, our lives are sacred journeys, regardless of how long or short we are here on this planet Earth, each journey is a great teaching to awakening, it is just how much we are aware of this. We are all searching for the ultimate answer to life's mystery, all looking for happiness and joy, even though we will all experience our suffering and pain as well, which is part of this duality of dark and light! Our soul is temporary housed within this body suit and mind, and we forget who we are and think we are the individual body self, however we are of course immortal consciousness, that never dies, the fragment of light that is a spark of the greater divine light, nothing less then this, which makes us all God’s, we should really ponder on the enormity of this! We are told however through society and mainstream religion that God is separate from us, unreachable and unknowable, only contactable through the hierarchy of the church, this I can tell you as well as the great Masters is completely wrong, and one of the great lies to befall humanity!

Self realisation is the actual knowing from experience of going within through the mind, body and soul that you are divine, that you are not separate, you indeed are the fabric of creation itself, just like a hologram you are the sum of the part of the whole, and this realisation comes from direct experience from entering higher states of consciousness that everybody can attain! It is not a theoretical belief, you experience it directly by going within through a meditative state, which then leads into cultivating devotion and self discipline of a practice that you can fit into your daily life.

In todays modern busy life where technology is so intrinsic in our lives, and success is built on the foundation of careers, status and wealth, a stable relationship, owning property, a nice car etc, our nervous systems become over stimulated with stress and anxiety, trying to juggle to many balls in the air, and the pressure to keep up this lifestyle becomes increasing harder, and this has a large impact on our mind, bodies and spirit. All these experiences are temporary, nothing is permanent within this reality, and it takes a great toll on our physical and mental health. What happens eventually is that the satisfaction of worldly life, possessions and fulfilling desires etc leads to more restlessness and unhappiness and stress, you just cannot find satisfaction! When you venture on an inner journey of self exploration you begin to expand your awareness to observe that your challenges of life are your great teachers and come exactly when you need them, not however when you want them, and we learn to be more inwardly peaceful and humble, while outside the challenges carry on!

The ways of realising the self (our souls) or who we really are, why we are here, and learning how to live a spiritual life are….

1, Meditation, using scientific techniques to realise experientially who you are like Kriya, communicating with your higher self, finding inner peace and expanded awareness in your daily life, which leads to more happiness and joy!

2, From deep meditation we learn to live a more moral life, understanding what is truth and living by it. This comes from deep levels of intuition as the flower of the heart opens to our innate divine truth, revealing more purity which in turn we act out of more kindness and compassion, tolerance, loving awareness, creativity, and divine wisdom and intelligence.

3, Devotion then starts to be cultivated and builds within us, as our hearts open more deeply to love, we devote more time to ways of wanting to become closer to the divine energy within us. This is mostly through meditation, reading nourishing spiritual material, listening to uplifting music, eating more healthy, immersing yourself more in nature, spending quiet time reflecting and learning to become the conscious observer, or being in presence. Therefore devoting your efforts that will nourish your mind, body and soul, and more joy builds within you naturally.

4, Naturally then what happens is you want to be of service more within the world, using your own unique gifts that you can share. To serve and give to others is a way of how we can express our divine nature in action. It becomes infectious, giving deep from within our hearts selflessly, without the need of wanting anything back, just assisting in many various ways which can be assisting people within their awakening process, therapy, healing, listening and encouraging, helping with the homeless, feeding people etc.

5, We then learn detachment and to cultivate our discriminative intelligence. As we grow our spiritual awareness we naturally learn detachment from this five sense three dimensional reality, and the body suit that temporary houses our souls. We involve ourselves fully within the play, but we at the same time know we are not of this world, we are so so much more! We can so easily become attached to material life, the many desires, hopes and dreams that we think will make us happy, which of course is all temporary, and cannot give us what we are truly looking for!

6, We need to cultivate discriminative intelligence (observing and examining using the force of willpower in how to function) knowing when we are being pulled into our desires, old mental habits, all these things that keep us asleep, and a slave to our ego minds that keep us locked within this dream world, and ego patterns of destructive behaviour.

7, As you walk the conscious path to a more self realised state of being you therefore become more free from fear, anxiety, stress, jealously, anger, lust, greed etc, as you realise these are all storylines designed by the darker force to entrap you in your ego mind, and you realise more your eternal nature, and you learn to stay more in this expanded state of conscious loving awareness.

8, You start to learn whats called even-mindedness, where you become less effected by failures or success, you see it all as a part of the play, so there is less fluctuations in your thoughts and emotions, and you start to live in a more centred state of awareness. You become more happier and joyful, a more lightness of spirit, unaffected more with the trials of life, connected more deeply to your higher self, your soul, more kind and compassionate, and loving to yourself and other souls.

Balancing material and spiritual life

The emphasis on harmony and bringing into balance our outer worldly responsibilities as in career, family, home, friends, relationships etc, with our inner spiritual yearnings and aspirations. Learn

to walk the fine line between these two worlds, or as we can also call it learning to walk the razors edge!

True happiness in life comes from maintaining a harmony between material duties and not neglecting our spiritual growth, or indeed the reverse of this, making sure we do not over indulge with our spiritual quest and forsake the need for survival in the world, looking after our loved ones, our careers, keeping a roof over our heads and paying the bills, maintaining relationships, and family ties. All to often people that are consciously on an awakening journey forsake their duties in the world, and one has to use what God has gifted us which is common sense and practicality in our daily lives, in conjunction in devoting time to our spiritual longings and practices etc. It is important we do not see how practical duties in the world as obstacles that get in the way of a conscious spiritual life, but we undergo a transformation with our relationship with it, with opportunities to grow in wisdom, discipline, and love. What we experience therefore is that by deepening our relationship with the divine and expanding our awareness and opening up the heart centre we are better to navigate our way through our material duties, with a more enhanced level of intuition, awareness, knowledge and wisdom, with deeper levels of tolerance, compassion and love.

What we are doing here is bringing spiritual consciousness into all of our actions, rather than the fight or flight ego structure, with its fears, anxieties, survival needs and insecurities etc. We do this by learning to be in conscious awareness, or the observer, that innate state of who we truly are beyond the form of the body, and this is where spiritual practice comes into its own, going into a space of stillness and spaciousness, and we can bring this into our daily life, but it takes practice, like training a muscle!

Whatever work or duties you undertake in the material world, view them as stepping stones as part of your evolvement. Even if you find them challenging and not aligning with your deeper longings in life, they are all part of your story, and see them as temporary. Also make sure you bring some devotion into your tasks, however mundane they may appear to be, as you are exactly where you are meant to be for a reason, to learn more about yourself, as a stepping stone to higher possibilities.

Learn to maintain inner calm through your daily activities, or whats called even-mindedness, where you learn not to over react to negative situations, plus on the flip side not also to become over elated to positive experiences. This practice is aligning with a deeper higher level of your consciousness, where you start to learn some self mastery in life, in not being a slave to your thoughts and emotions. Daily meditation, preferably morning and evening however initially a short period it maybe is the key to cultivating this even minded awareness, and putting it into daily life!

Living simply in life I can assure you is the key to deeper levels of awareness, not over complicating life, not wanting to many material things to clutter up your awareness to distract yourself from your conscious spiritual path. Living simply creates deeper levels of inner peace, harmony and loving awareness.

A phrase I like is ‘To be in the world but know you are not of it’ What this is basically suggesting is to involve yourself totally within the world, to actively participate, but at the same time not being attached to it’s illusions and bright lights of desires and sensory attachments, driven by the ego

mind. Our spiritual values must drive our life, and these are cultivated over time the deeper we go within with our relationship with our higher self, our soul! Then the elevated awareness supports your everyday life, making it richer, more fulfilling, more joyful, more giving. You realise from deep within your heart, this highlighted intuition shows you that you are not of this world, that it is only a temporary experience for your soul’s growth to more fully realise itself as the pure reflection of God. This earthly experience which is one of many many you have had in the past, is a school to assist you in eventually graduating to a higher realm of existence. Therefore you will not have to return to undergo another earth experience, you move up to higher teachings, within lighter dimensional realities! Therefore make the most of your time here, instead of being consumed with the dramas of this earthly dream realm, as time here goes very fast, know thyself and graduate with honours!

3 OF 9

Living simply and high thinking!

Much happiness occurs naturally when you simplify your life and expand your thoughts to truth of who you really are!

When we succumb to the herd mentality of trying to achieve material success, which most people of all ages become brainwashed into from early schooling and through the media etc, we think its going to create happiness for us, which are a series of temporary outside experiences, which is the great delusion. Instead we need to cultivate inner clarity, we are then more in alignment with our God given intuition, the language of the soul, so therefore the drive to acquire becomes less, and over time the calling to give becomes stronger!

We need to do our own inner house cleaning, to de-clutter the mind not just from acquiring to much unnecessary information, but also toxic desires like superficial relationships, negative thought patterns which are one of the greatest addictions know to man, plus the habit of being busy within the mind all the time, trying to fill ones day up to suppress the boredom of the mind and negative emotions. So therefore cultivating ways that supports your mind, body and spirit, your inner peace are vital for our spiritual evolution, in creating harmony and balance.

When you simplify your life your energy becomes more focused and you can learn to be more present in the here and now! You have more time to reflect, to unfold into deeper levels of creativity and spiritual practices. The nervous system becomes much less agitated, intuition blooms like a flower opening up to the light within us, and we re-awaken our innate state of joy and happiness within our inner and outer environments.

The Buddha said ‘what we think we become’ as our thoughts shape our consciousness which in turn shapes our reality. If we can shift our awareness over time on our divine nature, the seeds we have planted will flower and bring forth from our inner truth, kindness, divine love, and inner strength, we will then rise above the negative traits of fear, jealously, greed, lust, anger, our ego self!

This is not about not wanting to be in this world, and wanting to be in a higher realm, but knowing you are in exactly the right place where you are meant to be, there is no mistake! It is better for us to embrace life with a level of devotion, clarity of mind and purpose! One can live in this world with a family, career, friends etc, but you know its all temporary, God’s great play, consciousness knowing itself through its re awakening, you are not owned by it! With this inner realisation you can then inspire others within their own awakening, and become a beacon of light, a lighthouse on the shore of God’s love.

The more we open up to our inner divine nature the more humble we become, and we become more free from the negative ego mind and the delusion of this world. We learn to invite in abundance, but live simply within it with a high way of thinking, being in this world, knowing you are more then just this body suit, within the five sense, three dimensional play of the divine.

4 OF 9

Love and serve others!

When we walk the conscious spiritual path our hearts like a flower starts to blossom and open gradually revealing more of our innate beauty within, as we realign more with our souls. Our natural compulsion therefore is to share this love with the world in your own individual way! Joy begins to bubble up with in us as a wellspring of love, as we naturally want to assist and help our fellow brothers and sisters in the world, and we do this within our divine uniqueness and gifts. God never repeats itself, every single one of us has a unique way of expressing our divine nature here on this planet, we all have something different to share with. Our souls natural expression is love, as its a pure reflection of the God head, and to love ourselves and others is to live more deeply in harmony, and to help and serve others is the highest way to express that inner love in action.

We live in a very material technological led world, mostly devoid of any deep connection to our hearts and souls, its mainly driven by fear through education, media and entertainment industry, and not having enough, as in status, jealously, where success is measured by how much you have achieved materially and being recognised in society to achieve a level of validation for oneself. Thus we lose our connection to our divine nature, and become quite mechanical and animalistic in our behaviour and mindset. For the vast majority of people they are focused on what they can receive and take from the world, and not what they can give and serve with a compassionate heart. People on the whole like to give, but they do not really understand why giving makes them feel good and happy. It’s because its love in action, to help someone with a kind gesture, to listen to someone and be present for them, to offer advice that will assist them out of a difficult situation, or assist financially when they are desperate, to sit with someone while they are going through deep grief, with kind words and human touch.

All these actions are gradually purifying the heart and its infectious, the more you do it and it feels good inside, the more you want to do it, feeling love and giving it within the human form. This enables us to feel the divine energy within us, and it is in giving that we truly receive.

The balance here is both seeking your divine nature by going within in a quiet meditative state, and then the outer expression of that love you feel through being of service to your fellow human beings, one feeds the other. They are both ways of seeking the divine within you, the inner exploration where this love will transmit from your heart, and the outer expression of love to assist and serve others, this is harmony in action.

We must of course learn to give within the world without the need for validation and recognition, as this is ego based. It can take a while on our conscious inner journey before we rise above the negative ego need of wanting something back from giving, but as you expand your awareness and open your heart you realise instead of feeding the ego, you forge a deeper connection with your soul (higher self) and God consciousness. The divine knows all of your thoughts and past and future actions, every single one, so you cannot fool God, therefore to be more pure in your thoughts and actions becomes more easier and aligns you more with your true innate state of your own divine nature, expressing it in your own unique way.

‘Love all serve all’, is often a phrase used by masters from the east, and as you deepen your awakening journey an inner awareness brings to you the realisation that the divine is present in all of us not just some of us, and within all creation. Therefore what we do to others through our projected thoughts and actions we do to ourselves, this is karma in action, the accumulation of all of our past actions, that leads to where we are right now, within this duality of this great play of life,

the light and dark, the yin and yang, the up and down, the in and out, the suffering and the bliss, the sad and the happy, the anger and the joy! Our suffering is truly our grace, and our spiritual growth comes from the teachings this gives us, so we can serve and assist others by using empathy, and deep compassion and love.

I cannot express the joy and growth that I have accumulated over the many years as a healer and facilitator of large and small groups, and working with hundreds of people from a wide spectrum of society, coming with their own unique pain and suffering and ignorance of who they think they are. Through many interventions I have witnessed people meet their suffering at a deep level while holding them through this and watching them transcend this pain, which allows more spaciousness within them for the unfolding of the light to return to an expanded awareness in this life. I am always learning from each encounter, and I being a conduit for gods grace to flow through me know its not me, but a higher force. Thus allowing myself to be in humility, and assisting my brothers and sisters to understand at a deep level the realisation of who they really are. There is no greater work to be done on this planet then this love in action, it is all grace!

5 OF 9

Live in presence in the here and now!

The true meaning of yoga is the union of mind, body and spirit, and when we are just looking after our minds and bodies but neglecting our spiritual connection to the divine then eventually our minds and bodies will suffer. All of our trials in life our pain and suffering comes from a disconnection to our souls and ultimately to the God, as we become immersed in the life rebirth cycle, working out the same karmic stories life after life.

When I write the word God it conquers up something from ancient and present religion that God is unknowable, separate from ourselves, and will judge us and throw us into the pits of hell with Satan for doing wrong and being sinful upon the earth, and he sits up in the heavens looking down over us. This is the story given to us mostly in western and middle east religion which could not be further from the truth. There are many thousands of names for the Father/mother God around the world, and of course the divine energy itself has no name, has no permanent form, is infinite in its nature and is pure love itself. In fact we are an aspect of this divine energy, beyond the flesh and bones that our souls temporary inhabit for a short space of time, we are indeed a fragment of the divine light which is what we call our soul, that lies deep within us all, buried underneath lifetimes of karmic patterns and stories, attachments, desires, ignorance etc. We become so absorbed in these dramatic storylines, we do not have the time to be with ourselves, to reflect and to go within to merge with our divine nature and cultivate intuition to help us make important decisions in our lives based on not only what we think but also what we feel is right, and start to trust that God given gift.

We mostly do not know how to be in this present moment, or in conscious awareness. People are mostly living in past stories of regret and pain, or have their future happiness and desires pinned on future events, and lie in underlying anxiety hoping they will materialise to give them security and a level of happiness and contentment. We invest a lot of time and energy trying to push away our unresolved regrets and suffering from the past, and pull towards us experiences that will make our future more bright and fulfilling. Unfortunately when we do successfully pull towards us satisfactory experiences to make our lives more secure, there is still something missing, temporary happiness starts to evaporate, and the emptiness inside is still present. The eternal quest your soul is seeking within you to return back home has been a long one with many life experiences, and its our disconnection to our higher self that leaves us empty, or feeling separate within the world. This searching will keep going until we re align ourselves back with the higher aspect of ourself, and understand who we really are from an experiential perspective.

To find inner freedom and peace and joy in the world is to locate it within you, and then it will be reflected out into your outside world experiences. You must devote some time in understanding yourself from inner direct experience, who you really are, what is your life’s purpose, and ultimately to start to build trust in opening up to the ultimate romance, which is an intimate relationship with the divine, and the one thing God has not got is your unconditional love! God is your personal friend, mentor, teacher, mother, father, guru, who is inside of you willing you on to open up deeper portals within you to experience true love and bliss beyond anything you will have found in the mortal body experiences. Through practising going within you become more present, with an expanding sense of awareness which gives you the presence of the here and now. We have the ability to do two conscious planes at once, in presence as the observer which is our innate state or higher self, then also operating within this three dimensional five sense reality within our ego minds with all of its obscure traits, attachments and desires. When we stay in present awareness we can observe our ego traits without the need in identifying with them, so they gradually lose their pull, and thus we become free of old karmic patterns and stories.

I cannot really tell you or have the words to describe the joy of having a deeper relationship with the divine within me, that ever present energy of love, which directs you in life through the use of intuition, the language of God. You then over time become a conduit for higher teachings of wisdom, but its a bit like home broadband, the more you expand it the more clarity you receive, but only when you are ready, given to you through God’s grace. This constant inner companion which is your true mother and father, only has unconditional love for you and every mortal being on this planet! The divine is always with us, but alas we are to busy immersed in our own dramas to remember our ultimate parents, usually only when we are in big trouble and need money or feel completely over whelmed with life. We should afford at least 1/24th of our daily time to sit quietly and go within to find some peace and stillness and learn to commune with God to help us in our daily lives, and to open our hearts to deeper levels of love, compassion and intuition. Also using prayer but it must be deeply heartfelt, not as a beggar, but praying from a deep place within you, from your soul! You can also commune with God during the day, as if you were talking to your earthly parents, sharing your disappointments, your worries and concerns, hopes, and positive things that are working out for you, and how grateful you are for all that you have and the lessons learnt and received.

When you cultivate a deeper connection to the divine within you, you bring more authentic love and compassion into your daily activities, work, writing, leisure time, and helping and assisting others. When you expand your consciousness and open up your heart and third eye of perception, you start to see God in everyone, nobody then appears as separate from you, its just they are all at various levels of their awakening, and their own individual karma they are working through. The spark of light that exists in all of us which is the make up of our souls is our divine essence, the fabric of creation itself. So in fact you were never born and you will never die, its only the body suit which you have jumped into to work through your karma on route back home which is perishable and will wear out and die, and then your soul will look for another experience to work through in another incarnation to clear more karma until you become fully self realised, and you eventually step off the merry go round of the life birth cycle. Therefore see yourself as a wave on the ocean of cosmic consciousness, each wave expressing itself individually until the energy depletes and then it merges back into the great ocean, never have you been separate, you only felt like that in the mortal body within the parameters of the ego mind, and the over identification of the personality and that you are the body, rather then the infinite soul that resides within you. However for the majority of souls on this planet at this time, they are mostly ignorant of their divine nature, they see themselves as separate, attached to the body and their ancestral story, but deep within there is a sadness of the disconnection to their souls, and the fear of what death may bring. When you go to sleep this is a symbolic death, as you completely let go of the five senses, no earth time exists, and you enter various realms within dreamland, and you may enter your superconsciousness where you can enter higher realms and receive higher levels of wisdom and possible future experiences, but when you wake up you re enter this earthly dimension. However when we leave the body when the body dies we wake up in a higher realm within a lighter astral body, but in a realm depending on your level of consciousness within this life. Therefore you just trust every night that you will wake up back in your earthly bed, however some people pass away in their sleep and re awaken into a different realm. Therefore we need to cultivate trust in who we are so that we can pass consciously when we die, as this will greatly benefit you when passing over.

In the morning when I wake up and my feet hits the floor from my bed, the first thing I do is a gratitude prayer for my life, all that is going well, and for assistance in what is not going well as these are lessons from my unfoldment, as we have the power within to overcome our trials and learn from them. So my prayer is to ask for assistance in helping me to understand consciously these life lessons, so I may be able to navigate my way through life with deeper conscious understanding, and be given the tools to work through them, and cultivate the gratitude for the lessons learnt.

When we cultivate a daily practice coming back to be the conscious observer in our lives which is our natural innate state beyond the ego mind, we can be more consciously aware of our thoughts and emotions. We have the ability of operating on two planes of awareness at once, one that we operate in the world and use our thoughts to deal and navigate our way through life, both the light and the dark. The second higher plane when we expand our awareness up to watch our actions and thoughts, this is the place of eternal presence, your soul, however it takes practice, being the watcher, the observer. It is how we can become in the here right now, fully involved in the world, but knowing we are not of it!

6 OF 9

Control the mind and emotions

To control the mind thought that leads then to emotions which are usually felt within the body but created by the mind is difficult, and to master this it requires controlling yourself through various practices and techniques, and your commitment to knowing your true self in this lifetime from an experiential basis.

The ego mind has an inexhaustible amount of energy, the thoughts are like incoming waves crashing against the rocks of the mind, pounding away with hopes and desires, anger, anxiety, and erotic thoughts. The thoughts travel down from the mind into the heart centre which instantly opens up a stored emotion which can carry you out into the sea of the mind, and overwhelm you with wave after wave of negative emotions. If one becomes immersed in them over time this can lead to all sorts of mental and physical illness and thus disease. When we brake down the word disease, (dis at ease) this is what happens when you are not at ease with yourself, you are in inner conflict, the inner battle of the shadow and the light battling it out! We must learn mastery of our inner world from internal war and conflict, to calmness, focus, and awareness, as they become our greatest allies on the conscious spiritual path. The more inner conflict happening within the population on this planet as a result from the disconnection to our true self, this then reflects into the outer world where more conflict in the material world happens. This is why currently there is so much turmoil, with military conflict, famine, political and financial instability, pollution, extreme weather and seismic activity etc.

We must be like the past and current spiritual masters who see the mind not as an enemy but as a tool. A very powerful instrument that can reflect our divine nature, or distort reality where the majority of mental health issues emanate from. The mind is like a lake, when it is calm and quiet with no ripples of agitation it reflects the light of God, however when the mind is agitated you cannot see clearly, and our true divine nature is distorted.

Emotions are energy and if they are not brought under control they run riot, which then surfaces of feelings of anger, anxiety, fear, and sorrow. When we over time learn levels of mastery over the self we can be the conscious observer of our thoughts and emotions without attaching ourselves to them, and we can stay in a level of peace, but its only when we attach our awareness to them thats when they pull us into the stories and dramas. Being in conscious awareness as the observer there is no energy directed at them, and they dissolve away back into the mind.

Our minds form from early childhood and adulthood habit forming thoughts that run in mind loops! Its a bit like the flow of a river, as soon as we get caught up in mind loops and attached emotions we get caught up in a whirlpool within the river and you become detached from the current of life, these whirlpools can last a long time, but at some point with some expanded conscious awareness you realise you are caught up in these cycles of mind loops and you eventually learn to free yourself from these mental habits, and let go back into the conscious flow of the river of life.

Spiritual growth comes from training the mind to think expansive divine thoughts, that connects us with our true higher self, and when you learn how to stay in this awareness, the old mental habits find it hard to infiltrate the mind. Good expansive thoughts shape our consciousness, as the Buddha said ‘What we think we become’ as consciousness shapes our destiny. Real spiritual growth depends on calmness of the mind, which brings clarity of awareness, or presence. Our growth therefore depends on our inner clarity and calmness. Without this it is difficult to meditate, and life can become overwhelming and strained, which is why there are so many mental health issues, because we are dissociated from our innate true spiritual nature!

We must learn to be calmly active and actively calm. Therefore meditation is vital in understanding ourselves and life, calming the mind brings about mental clarity and overall health. Practising stillness, breathing much more slowly, calming the heart, then the mind becomes more still. Affirmations and will power are vital, affirming to yourself who and what you really are, to reprogram negative mental patterns from the ego mind. E.G “I am the master of my mind, I am infinite in nature, I am calm, poised and powerful beyond measure”

When negative thoughts and emotions come to pay you a visit, observe them and go within and breathe deeply and slowly! Turn your awareness up to the spiritual eye between the eyebrows in the forehead. Try not to react from the emotion, this is all an opportunity to start to master being the observer of your thoughts without jumping in. Respond from your centre, your heart instead, your truth, using your intuition from the higher aspect of your self! Watch it all as the witness, or whats called conscious loving awareness, your true higher nature. These states of awareness are accessible over a period of time through raising your consciousness by going within in meditation and inner reflection and prayer. You can say to yourself this is a passing thought and emotion, I am not this anger, fear, lust etc! I am the calmness of my soul, untouched by the waves of thoughts and emotions.

Our outside environment the company we keep etc has a large influence on our mind and heart! What we look at and listen to like the use of social media, television etc, or some of our friends and family members has a big influence on us, both positive and negative. Watch uplifting material that will inspire you, that you can learn from, or beautiful music that can transport you to a higher place of consciousness. Reading inspiring books or online material that are actually giving you spiritual nourishment that uplift you. Getting out into nature where you feel a deeper connection to the mother divine, and witness her creative imagination at play, where you can breathe and feel that sense of expansiveness, and witness the beauty all around you. All of this calms the mind, where you can find some inner peace and open the heart.

Remember we are not the mind, do not become a prisoner behind your mental bars you impose on yourself. We are all the fragments of the eternal divine light of God, our souls are infinite in nature beyond this world and universe that has been created to have this earthly experience. Once we awaken more deeply within our hearts our natural impulse is to serve within the world, to assist our brothers and sisters within their awakening process, to reach out with compassion and love.

Affirm to yourself “I am divine, I am peace itself” Do not mechanically say it, feel it in your heart, growing from within as the flower of your heart unfolds and your inner light bursts through the cracks within to reveal over time your true divine nature. Sorrow starts to dissolve the more you affirm this, bringing light to re program your old mental habits of the mind.

Cultivating faith and courage in the face of difficulty!

Standing firm and unshaken within the chaos of the modern technological age!

There are new and many challenges appearing as we navigate our way through this modern era of the fast changing technological age with the addiction to social media devices, more ongoing global military conflicts, cyber attacks, low nutritional food, climate and pollution issues, loss of nature and animal species, financial hardships, drug and alcohol misuse, porn addiction and over sexualisation of the younger generation, mass immigration and the rise of nationalism, indeed the list goes on and on…..So much more global uncertainty and heartbreak. However running parallel to this is a global spiritual awakening, and more people are becoming more aware that we are more then the body and personality, that indeed we are souls, fragments of the one eternal light of God with unlimited divine strength. We must all remember we are not powerless or hopeless of circumstances, we are all powerful beyond measure, and our role here for this very short period of time is to come back to our innate nature that we are all the children of the one divine light, and the divine dwells within not just some of us but all of us equally, that is the truth!

When we undergo great challenges our ego mind will react with initial fear which is the opposite of love, doubt and often despair. However when we are more in alignment with our soul we respond with faith and courage. Every storm is temporary, and it will blow itself out over time, some quick, some much longer, but also know the sun shines constantly above the storm clouds, nothing is permanent within this three dimensional five sense universe and gross reality. When we are afraid we feel isolated and separate, forgetting who we really are, that we are a child of the divine, our eternal light that dwells within us, and always will into eternity.

There is a difference between faith and belief. When we believe something it is partly out of hope that it is true, with no firm conviction, believing it from our intellectual perspective. How many times have you had belief only for it to be shattered when you have been proved wrong. Faith on the other hand is where we cultivate it through developing it through our sixth sense our intuition which I call the language of the soul, of God. We cultivate intuition by going within through meditation practices, prayer, and inner reflection. We all have access and used our intuition from time to time, but we do not trust it, and by going within you cultivate this trust by conversing with your higher self and the divine. Meditation over time allows you to feel God’s presence through peace, stillness, love and bliss. Deep inner prayer allows you to build up a personal relationship with the divine, talking to it, so you ask from a place of humility and grace, rather then in an energy of desperation or a need.

Reflection is looking at your day to day life, observing your growth through your many life challenges, how you overcome them, and using this knowledge and new gained wisdom in helping you to approach new obstacles, and how you can through faith stride over them, and not trip over them as you may have done before on multiple occasions. So this is how we also can cultivate our intuition, where once more deeply developed you can converse with the divine, as it speaks through your intuition, in what we call the language of light, and thus you can start to trust this sixth sense in your everyday life, to help and assist you in dealing with negative and challenging situations. We then have access to deeper levels of wisdom to share with the world through your own specific unique gifts God has bestowed upon you. Faith is born out of cultivating our intuition, and it is like a searchlight that shines and illuminates the spiritual path ahead of us, even through our most darkest times.

Courage – our divine power!

We need courage to face our fears head on, and we do this through invoking the inner warrior within us with deep devotion of the knowing of who we really are, winning the inner battle between delusion and devotion, and armed with our trusty sword and shield of truth. We can then cut away the ties that bind us to the illusion of this world, karmic bonds, ancestral patterns, old mental habits, attachments and desires.

These situations that arise in our lives are our divine tests, to see if we succumb to the evil that keeps us tied to this grand delusion of Maya (the fake reality) or through developing devotion and faith in who we are. We then battle through and overpower our past weakness of our ego minds that keep our stories and past dramas running from lifetime to lifetime, keeping us subservient to our senses and desires.

Our pain and suffering is ultimately our salvation, the purpose of it is to learn to heal and cultivate devotion through our losses and desires that never give us the happiness we thought, but leads us down into dark blind alleys of hopelessness. Even in the darkest part of the night, a new dawn is emerging to rise, offering deep teachings. Love is our innate state of what we really are, and we can choose to come back to this at anytime and re-remember who we really are.

We must face every challenge with deep determination as we have the power within us to overcome, and we will win the fight with devotion and faith with the realisation of who we really are, and eventually win the battle of life, and step back into our divine sovereignty. Then the light of our souls we illuminate the path ahead of us, as we walk this path back home, back to the divine kingdom we once inhabited.

Developing Faith and courage

Affirmations are so powerful done not mechanically, but from a deep place within your heart with the faith they will manifest. You have to remember you are divine, the fabric of creation itself, so the power you have within you which is mainly untapped is infinitely vast!

“I am brave, I am strong, I am not afraid, I am a child of God”

Use this when fear rises in your heart, keep affirming it!

Staying calm through life's difficulties can be a big challenge, so by calming the breathe, some deep long breathes, and coming back into your body in a state of awareness! Affirmations or prayer, and bring yourself back into your centre, into divine guidance by being in presence in the here and now.

See difficulties as divine opportunities, they are not punishments, God does not punish you as some religious figures have told us, God is unconditional love. The trials of life are there to test us from our karmic stories in what we attract into our lives, so see them as blessings for growth, to re awaken you to cultivate strength, devotion, courage and faith in overcoming these situations, which will strengthen our souls.

To develop faith and courage in my own life I had to develop a spiritual daily practice, and this is something a lot of people would like to do but shy away from, but from my own experience it has saved my life, and given me direct contact with the divine that dwells within me and you of course. It has given me a deep sense of inner peace, calmness, higher states of conscious awareness, opened my heart to deep levels of intuition and divine love, self love, compassion and empathy, divine wisdom and intelligence, a lack of the fear of death, deeper courage and conviction, plus so much more and that is (deep meditation). I cannot describe in words the bliss and the tears of joy one experiences in the stillness beyond the body identification. Fear over time evaporates, and our true nature of divine spirit rises like a phoenix from the ashes of self delusion. The inner divine temple or church is open 24/7 inside of us, that holiest of places where the eternal flame is alight. You can sit before God in silence, and become a conduit for the divine light to shine within you, to be a beacon of light in the world to assist our brothers and sisters. We are all searching for the pathway to lead us back home to our rightful place, to reveal the eternal spirit!

When you feel overwhelmed with life, put your hand on your heart and affirm

“I walk with courage, for God walks with me, and dwells within me”

Benefits of prayer

From my own experience of daily inner prayer, I can wholeheartedly recommend deep prayer within our daily lives, and the transformative qualities this gives us on a daily basis. Prayer is not about wanting something specifically, a need or a want or desire, or a shopping list of things! It is opening up a deeper dialogue with the divine, which helps to awaken the soul to its attachments to this material world, where you learn deeper levels of humility, gratitude, and the power of manifestation from a level of authenticity and love.

Prayer gradually if performed everyday will over time unite us with the divine within, and performed with sincerity and not mechanically, re-awakens within us an ability to have heartfelt conversations with God, with deep feeling in the heart.

Daily prayer brings inner strength and clarity in times of struggles, when we feel lost and confused. We can then enter our inner temple, a place of calmness and where we can cultivate courage to meet our daily challenges. We learn to unfold ourselves in fine tuning our intuition and thus receiving insights to assist us to navigate our way through the choppy waters of life.

Prayer helps us to realise its not about asking the world to fit into what we want from life, our desires and aspirations etc, but how we can shape our lives in making us more receptive, compassionate to divine will! Our perception of life then changes, and this is reflected within our outside environment. We then learn through prayer to be a co-creator, becoming empowered to bring about harmony and balance into our daily lives. Life and circumstances start to change as you witness life giving you what you are now manifesting through authentic heart based prayer by speaking to the divine!

People tend to only pray when life deals them a bad hand, well thats how we perceive it, so we pray from a level of fear and hope, feeling powerless that we can change the circumstances in our life’s troubles, but genuine prayer with learning to trust that God hears your souls longings. Your prayer said with deep faith will never go unheard. The answer can be quite quickly or it may take some time, which in itself is a deep act of faith and patience. The answer will come, maybe though not in the way you perceived, but it comes in what is best for our highest good, even though at first it may not seem so!

When you deeply pray its like forming a deep friendship with your deepest and dear lover, a beloved parent, beautiful friend. This over time begins to flower within your heart, and as I can testify the bond you feel with the divine becomes more joyful, as your relationship forms into deep love. There is however resistance from the ego to try to distract you, but you learn to observe these thoughts as the darker aspect of the ego presents to you material desires, lust etc, and you learn to watch them like clouds drifting across the sky of your consciousness, blotting out the sun for a moment or so. It all requires patience and trust on your part, just like it does forming a beautiful friendship over time.

The more you pray the more skilled you become in forming prayer, you become more creative with it, and you formulate it within your own language, and of course the more creative you become with it the more heartfelt it is, the more God will listen. I always suggest you do a prayer when you wake up in the morning, as your feet hit the floor before you do anything, perform a prayer of gratitude for your life, plus what you want to manifest for your own personal growth, plus I always pray before and after my meditations, morning and evening. You can also pray when you are performing your daily duties, walking or driving, or anywhere you have a quiet moment. The more you talk to the divine the more this connection deepens within your heart, its very beautiful like a lotus flower opening up to the light to receive its nutrition.

Remember prayer is when we speak to the divine, however meditation is when the divine speaks and answers us through intuitive language. The more heartfelt and deeply you pray, the more you will feel the presence of the divine within your heart.

So pray with all your heart, soul and mind, and be patiently humble!

EVEN- MINDEDNESS & STAYING CHEERFUL

Even-mindedness is a practice and a state of awareness that over time brings you to a beautiful state of the conscious observer, where you do not get pulled into the daily dramas of the mind and the outside world. It is a spiritual maturity in that you remain calm and unshaken, balanced amongst the ever changing conditions of life, whether these conditions are giving you pleasure or pain, favourable or challenging! It is the ability to experience the light and dark in this world, the duality of life, without losing your inner calmness, so one does not succumb to the highs and lows of daily existence.

Our true innate state of our soul, or our higher self is forever calm, untouched by external circumstances! However our ego minds that have become immersed within this three dimensional five sense reality is restless, agitated, and it swings between the emotional highs and lows of life. It predominately does two things, it either pulls towards us pleasure seeking desires to give us those temporary experiences, or it pushes away anything that causes or will cause pain and suffering, so its always pushing and pulling at life. When we identify with the false ego self we become vulnerable to suffering, our hopes and desires not being met, which turn to fear and anger. When we by going within return to our true being, our soul, we re-discover a deeper stillness and resilience that does not depend on what is going on in the outside world.

To be in even-mindedness is to accept both success and failure, gain and loss with equal calmness! You may say this is detachment away from your feelings and emotions, but it is not, it’s a higher state of awareness where you watch life as a divine play, knowing it is all temporary, and the awareness leads us back to the God within us.

We as a direct result of being in even-mindedness become cheerful in life and more happier. Cheerfulness is not false optimism or positivity, it is the natural radiance of prolonged deep meditation where even-mindedness leads to being cheerful in spirit, as its the natural state of our true being, our soul, as we become less reactive as a slave to our ego minds and emotions, and become more free, and gradually we let go of the shore and flow more freely with the current of life. It is a spiritual confidence within, that it does not matter what life throws at you, you know the divine is with you, and nothing can touch the peace you find when you are at one with your soul, the real deep down you!

Therefore to be even-minded and cheerful is a profound way to live through all the obstacles of life within this calm state of awareness. We totally engage in life but we are not enslaved by it at the same time! We can then respond with wisdom by being in this even-minded awareness connected to our souls, as we do not then react emotionally. This has transformed my conscious awareness and presence over time, which has led me to be a more effective source of calm and uplifting energy for others, not just for myself!

To achieve a constant state of even-mindedness and cheerfulness takes much effort and devotion over time through meditation, and practising when we lose that state of awareness to come back to that state of inner stillness. Life is forever changing as we do within, but you become unshaken through the trials of life, and believe me I have had on my spiritual path many of them, some very challenging. However along this conscious spiritual path with its ups and downs, you gradually become more anchored in divine calmness, happier, more cheerful and more joyful!
